Armed robbery suspect shot by off-duty, retired officers dies

An off-duty Baltimore school police officer and a retired Department of Corrections officer shot an armed man who police said tried to rob them.
City police said an armed man approached the officers around 11:14 p.m. Saturday at the corner of East 23rd Street and Guilford Avenue.
Police said the man tried to rob the officers.
Police said both officers withdrew their concealed guns and fired at the armed man, striking him multiple times.
The man ran to the 2300 block of Guilford Avenue, where he collapsed.
He was taken to a hospital where he died.
