Armed shoplifter drops gun while pushing past Kroger store security officer
Columbus Ohio April 10 2023 Columbus police are searching for a man who took items from a grocery store.
Police said the pair went to the self-checkout register at the Kroger in the 1700 Block of Morse Road at around 9 p.m. on April 3.
An employee noticed they did not scan or pay for the items and called security.
The security officer tried to block them as they were exiting, but police said the man pushed past him into the parking lot. He then dropped a handgun, police said.
The man grabbed the gun and fled through the parking lot.
Investigators described the man carrying the handgun as in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 6’1″-6’2″ tall, 190-200 lbs, shoulder length braids, wearing a black sweatshirt with MTV on the back and front, black sweat pants, and red shoes.
