Armed, unlicensed security guard arrested in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — October 1 2017 Syracuse Police were tipped off that an establishment was hosting after-hours events without proper licensing, several arrests including drug and firearm possessions were made Saturday morning, police said.
According to Syracuse Police, they responded to the “Flip Money Mansion” at 1060 S. Geddes Street at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, and arrested the party host Hasahn Bloodworth, 37, after he was unable to provide the proper licensing needed to host such an event.
Bloodworth was charged with City Ordinances No Amusement License, Sound Reproduction and Nuisance Party, police said.
According to police, Denise Jones, 39, was also arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree and Unlicensed Security Guard.
Jones was concealing a loaded semi-automatic handgun that had been reported stolen out of Lafayette, police said.
Upon further investigation, Jamar Mike, 38, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, police said.
According to police, Mike was found with four grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, and two pieces of knotted plastic that contained methamphetamine.
Bloodworth, Jones, and Mike were all sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment, police said.
