Armored Brinks Car Robbed At Gunpoint At Colonia Home Depot
Woodbridge NJ May 8 2023 There was a gun-point robbery of an armored Brinks vehicle Tuesday morning in Woodbridge.
The armed robbery took place outside the Woodbridge Home Depot on St. Georges Avenue in the Colonia section, Woodbridge Twp. announced in a press release.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the driver of the Brinks car said he was approached by two armed individuals as he was exiting the rear of the Home Depot in possession of a secured bank bag.
The two suspects of undetermined race, were wearing face coverings, dark hooded sweatshirts and dark-colored pants.
The two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle (description pending) in the direction of Rahway.
Woodbridge Police are investigating. A Woodbridge Twp. spokesman said the Brinks company told police how much was stolen, but has requested that that information not be made public, citing the safety of their drivers.
