Armored truck guard attacked at Aldi’s

A security guard was attacked by two masked men during a cash-in-transit robbery at a Liverpool supermarket.
The victim was making a cash collection when he was set upon by two men – both with their faces covered.
The masked raiders fled with a cash box in a white Ford Eco Sport Zetec after assaulting the guard at the East Prescot Road branch of Aldi around 11am today, Monday, November 19.
The guard sustained “a minor facial injury”, Merseyside Police confirmed.
A short time later the vehicle was recovered in Brigadier Drive.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate the robbers and anyone who may have information is asked to contact police.
