Armored truck robbed in Hayward
Hayward CA July 3, 2023 An armored truck guard was robbed at gunpoint on Monday morning, authorities said.
No one was reported injured.
The robbery happened about 8:55 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of A Street.
Authorities said a Brinks Armored Transportation guard was robbed outside the truck of an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police have not said if the guard had made a pick-up of money from a business in the area or was taking money to a business.
At least one armed suspect was involved in the robbery.
The robber was gone before police could respond to the scene. A description of the suspect has not yet been released.
