Arrests 4 men arrested in stabbing, fight at Chandler mall in March
CHANDLER, Ariz. May 15 2021 Four men have been arrested in connection with an altercation at a Chandler mall two months ago, according to police.
Witnesses said two groups of men began fighting inside the mall on March 12 and one man began stabbing others with a small knife.
Three of the six people in one group received hospital treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The four men in the other group all fled, but police said the altercation was captured on mall security video.
On Thursday, police announced that 23-year-old Andrew Courtney of Sierra Vista was arrested on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument.
Police say three other men — 19-year-old Tarik Deeb of Queen Creek, 18-year old Isaias Reece of Phoenix and 18-year old Nicholas Aguilar of Mesa — all were booked into jail on charges of disorderly conduct and misconduct involving weapons.
It’s unclear if any of the four men have lawyers yet.
