Atmore prison security staff member arrested on prison contraband charge
ATMORE, Ala. May 4 2024 A Fountain Correctional Facility security staff member was arrested Wednesday for allegedly promoting prison contraband, according to a news release from the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Shemira Jackson was arrested for an incident that happened on April 29, according to the release.
Jackson was taken to the Escambia County Jail on Wednesday and charged with promoting prison contraband III.
The ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division is continuing to investigate.
