Bakersfield security officer shot during Internet Cafe robbery

An internet cafe security guard was shot during an attempted robbery on Sunday morning, according to police.
The Bakersfield Police Department arrived at 1221 Baker St. at approximately 7:42 a.m., regarding a report of an armed robbery and shooting.
Officers located the vehicle’s suspect at the 1600 block of Miller Street at 8:02 a.m., according to the BPD news release.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of shooting the security guard during the robbery.
Frankie Ramos, 32, and Anesia Riberio, 27, allegedly robbed the internet cafe on Baker Street, near Niles Street, and were later found on nearby Miller Street based on a vehicle description provided by the security guard.
The security officer is expected to survive, police said.
