Bally’s Atlantic City security capture stabbing suspect
ATLANTIC CITY NJ July 4 2017 — A fight on the Boardwalk outside Bally’s Atlantic City ended with police arresting a city man charged earlier this year in a high-profile chase through the Lincoln Tunnel.
Police said at midnight on Saturday, Bally’s security officers alerted Officer Thomas McCabe to the fight.
When McCabe arrived, he spoke to Ramy Nammour, 25, who was stabbed during the fight and was bleeding heavily, according to the police report.
Witnesses of the fight identified the suspect, Bashaun Hood, 24, in the crowd.
Police said Hood was holding a knife and refused to drop it when commanded by McCabe. Hood then fled the scene.
McCabe gave a description of Hood to other responding officers and Bally’s security, while he treated Nammour’s injury.
Medical personnel arrived on the scene and Nammour was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus.
Bally’s security officers Vinny D’Alessandro and Christopher Bultes located and detained Hood inside the casino and he was arrested by Officer Michael Gunssar.
Hood was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and weapons possession charges.
