MANCHESTER TN June 14 2018 – Law enforcement overseeing the 17th annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival said they arrested and cited more than 226 people during this year’s festival, a slight drop in numbers from the previous year.

While arrests were up a few, citations were down significantly during the four-day music festival held June 14-17 in Manchester, Tennessee, Coffee County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lucky Knott said.

Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves said his department wrote 181 citations during the event. Last year authorities wrote 295 citations.

Overall there were 45 Bonnaroo related arrests by all law enforcement combined, up slightly from 42 in 2017.

Most of the arrests and citations were drug- and alcohol-related, Knott said.

In 2016, police issued 277 citations issued and arrested 37 people. In 2015, there were 76 arrests made by all law enforcement agencies overseeing the festival, up from 60 in 2014.

One of the bigger arrests this year came Sunday on the festival’s last day, Knott said, when sheriff’s office Investigator Brandon Reed saw in plain sight a bag of marijuana in a vehicle on Bushy Branch Road at Bonnaroo.

Deputies searched the vehicle and allegedly found about 10 ounces of mushrooms packed in 60 bags, seven bottles of LSD, approximately 2 ounces of ketamine in 56 bags, 21 grams of marijuana in seven bags, 1,100 hits of acid, about nine marijuana “gummies”, a bag of marijuana wax, a half gram in two bags of Molly, three Xanax pills and 24 unknown white pills. They also discovered drug paraphernalia and nearly $7,900 in cash.

Dalton James Subbert, 23, and Michale John Feehan, 26, both of Minnesota, face multiple drug-related charges. They were booked into the Coffee County jail on $39,500 each, Knott said. Both are set to appear in Coffee County General Sessions Court next month.
