Bounty hunter arrested in Decatur after allegedly firing gunshots at someone’s car
DECATUR, Ala. Sept 30 2018 – A bounty hunter in Morgan County is in jail for allegedly firing gunshots at someone’s car.
Just after nine in the morning Decatur police officers responded to Jack’s Hamburgers on 6th Avenue. That’s where they found Roy Lee Woods, a bounty hunter for Pronto Bail Bonding.
Woods told officers he was attempting to apprehend a person, who was wanted by the bonding company.
Woods said an altercation ensued that resulted in shots being fired.
It was later determined that Woods fired shots at the person’s car, as the person was trying to get away.
No one was injured during the incident.
Woods was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits and reckless endangerment.
