Buffalo hospital security guard arrested for interfering with an arrest
BUFFALO, N.Y. January 12 2019
Police making n arrest of a woman at a hospital also ended up arresting the hospital security guard.
Buffalo Police say a Kaleida Health security officer interfered with them and was arrested at Buffalo General Thursday.
According to Capt. Jeff Rinaldo, the security guard intervened while a woman was being arrested for trespassing on hospital property by a Buffalo Police officer.
The confrontation became heated and the security officer grabbed the Buffalo Police officer by the vest, Capt. Rinaldo said.
Police did not say who made the complaint against the woman or why the security officer objected to her arrest.
The security officer has been charged with harassment but he could face additional charges of obstruction.
