6 Security Officers Shot

At least six security officers were shot in a twelve-hour span in multiple cities including one that has been left in critical condition.
Police and sheriff departments are investigating shootings in Indianapolis, Houston, Dallas, Orange County FL and Raleigh North Carolina.
Houston TX police are investigating a shooting overnight at what they say was an illegal gambling room.
The victim was working security at the unmarked business in the 9900 block of Fondren when shots rang out around 8:30 p.m., according to Houston Police Department Det. S. Ragsdale when shots rang out and the security officer was shot multiple times.
It is unclear what led to the gunfire.
There could be as many as three people involved in the shooting, although police did not release any suspect descriptions.
Police were called to Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh NC on Thursday night for a security officer shot.
Police and EMS responded and now police believe that several shots were fired from a passing vehicle.
A bullet went through a window in a business and hit a security guard in the arm.
His injuries appeared to be minor.
Police say that this incident is still under investigation.
In Orange County a security officer who attempted to break up a fight on a “Megabus” was shot by a suspect who then fled.
The security officer is reported to be recovering from a shooting after attempting after being shot during an argument aboard a Megabus Thursday evening.
Officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Orange Blossom Trail.
The security officer was transported to an area hospital in serious but stable condition.
Officials have not released any arrest information.
The total number of security officers shot during the past seven days is 23.
