Charlotte security guard shoots armed robber at arcade business

Police said that for the second time in about a month, a security guard has shot a person who tried to rob an arcade.
Travis Thompson, 27, and Dominique Crowder, 33, are charged with the attempted robbery of a business in Charlotte, NC.
Travis ended up getting shot by a security guard.
On June 17, 2019 at 5:39 a.m., officers responded to 4444 The Plaza at the Fish Kiss Arcade in reference to a robbery from business call.
A black male suspect identified as Travis Thompson allegedly entered the business holding a gun and began a physical altercation with the armed security guard at the front door. The security guard shot Travis.
Travis was located minutes later at the scene by officers and transported to the hospital by Medic due to his injuries.
Warrants have been obtained for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and will be served on Travis upon his release from the hospital.
On June 19, 2019, robbery detectives obtained new information that lead to the identification of an alleged second suspect identified as Dominique Crowder.
He was located and arrested without incident. He is charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
