Chicago H&M store security officer violently attacked by group
CHICAGO, Illinois March 5 2019 – A store security officer at the Chicago H&M store was violently attacked by a large group police say.
Chicago police are looking for 10 people who attacked the security officer Saturday night at the H&M store on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
The 24-year-old security agent at the store in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue was not seriously injured but required medical attention.
At about 8 p.m., the security guard told two female shoppers to make their final purchases because the store was closing. Then, the women started punching and kicking him.
As the security officer tried to defend himself, eight other people got involved and, at one point, one of the women pepper sprayed the security officer in the face.
All offenders, who were between the ages of 15 and 55, fled the scene, police said.
Chicago detectives say that the group faces numerous charges and that are continuing their investigating.
