Chief at Harris County Constable’s Office dies suddenly after becoming ill at work
HOUSTON TX April 25 2018 – The Harris County Constable’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own after an unexpected death on Tuesday.
Chief Goree Anderson with the Harris County Precinct 7 Constable’s Office passed away on Tuesday.
According to deputies, while Anderson was at work Monday, he became ill and was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Med Center.
He passed away at the hospital Tuesday morning, deputies said. It’s unclear if Anderson had any prior health issues and his cause of death has not been released.
Chief Anderson was a law enforcement veteran for nearly 40 years.
He’s been an integral member of Constable May Walker’s Command Staff since she was sworn in in January 2005, deputies said.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been released.
