Citrus Plaza shot with air soft weapon
REDLANDS CA June 6 2017 – Police are investigating the shooting of a security officer at the Citrus Plaza in the City of Redlands
Officers say that he was shot in the face with an airsoft gun after simply doing his job on Monday authorities said.
The security officer stated that a group of juveniles were selling candy on the property and the security guard made contact with them to let them know that was not allowed on the property.
Police say that as he approached, one of the juveniles shot him in the face with the airsoft gun causing injury to his lip.
The juveniles continued to throw rocks at the victim and fled the area.
The security officer flagged down a Police Officer from the Redlands Police Department. Officers located the suspects near Lugonia/Tennessee, where one of the teens was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into Juvenile Hall.
The airsoft pistol was located and recovered.
The security officer received a minor injury during the assault.
