CMPD arrest 2 men for being unlicensed armed security guards at illegal gambling locations

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responding to serve search warrants at two illegal gambling locations also arrested two unidentified men for providing armed security services without the proper license.
CMPD said that they found the armed men at 6233 Old Sugar Creek Road and 5744 North Tryon Street in Charlotte.
Police said that the men did not have the proper training or license to operate as armed security guards at two fish table arcades, according to search warrants from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Investigators seized about $95,000 during a search Friday at the two illegal gambling locations.
More than 170 gambling machines were also disabled.
Both security guards were charged with providing armed security without a license.
