Columbus police officer working security at Kroger’s store injured by shoplifter
COLUMBUS, Ohio May 16 2021 The Columbus Division of Police said an officer was taken to hospital Thursday afternoon after getting into a physical altercation with a shoplifting suspect.
Police said the officer was working security duty at the Kroger on Soldano Boulevard in West Columbus when the incident took place.
The altercation took place around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the officer was taken to Ohio Health Doctor’s Hospital in stable condition and required stitches.
Police did not release any suspect information.
