Confrontation with security guard after man allegedly breaks into Lindsay building
Lindsay Canada May 29, 2022 Police reportedly responding to an alarm has led to a break and enter arrest in Lindsay.
On Thursday, May 26, at 10:09 a.m. Kawartha Lakes Police say officers received an alarm call to a residential building on Lindsay Street North in Lindsay.
The alarm was activated when an individual allegedly broke into the building through a window, say police.
Police also say once inside, when confronted by a security officer, the individual allegedly assaulted and threatened the officer.
The individual allegedly left the scene before police arrived, was reportedly located and arrested a short time later.
A 22-year-old Lindsay resident has been charged with break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence, utter threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault and fail to comply with probation.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 27.
