Dallas security officers detain homicide suspect at nightclub
DALLAS TX Sept 8 2021 – Police said that a shooting at an area nightclub is a homicide and that on duty security were able to take the shooter into custody prior to police arriving.
Police said that the man was killed outside a Dallas nightclub in the Cedars.
Police were called to the 1700 block of Botham Jean Boulevard, location of the 5 a.m. Club, just after 2:30 a.m. Monday.
When police arrived, the person responsible for the shooting was already being detained by security officers, and that they had also located the gun used in the crime.
When police arrived, they found a man shot in the neck and lying on the sidewalk. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Bailey Phillips, 23, is charged with the murder of Tylynn Walter, 21.
The investigation is still underway.
