DeKalb County, Missouri Sheriff Andy Clark killed in crash responding to call

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that DeKalb County, Missouri Sheriff Andy Clark has been killed in a crash.
Clark was responding to assist another deputy about 11:30 near 36 Highway and M Highway near Osborn, Missouri, police said. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Clark’s vehicle had its emergency lights on when it collided with an SUV.
Police said four people in the SUV were taken to a hospital, and the extent of their injuries is not known.
Authorities with Buchanan County and other agencies said Clark’s family is in their thoughts.
“The men and women of the Sheriff’s Office want to extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to Sheriff Andy Clark’s family, and the brave men and women of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office,” the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “Please keep Sheriff Clark’s family and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office in your thoughts and prayers.”
