Denied booze, 2 youths attack security guard
RUDRAPUR India Dec 4 2017: Two men were arrested by city police on Sunday for creating a ruckus outside a residential colony and beating up the security guard before decamping with his licensed gun and six cartridges. It is alleged that the youth were not allowed to booze in front of the main entry of the colony.
In a complaint, the managers of Samiah Lake City colony, located at Kashipur road, said that late on Saturday, a group of youth was drinking alcohol in front of the colony gate in a parked jeep and were creating a ruckus.
“The security guard, Dharam Singh and a resident of the colony asked them to move from there. The miscreants got into a scuffle with the guard causing tension among the residents. However, when crowd gathered, they fled but came later in a large group and beat up the guard. They snatched his gun and six cartridges and fled. On the basis of CCTV footage, police arrested the two accused, identified as Bheem Singh and Pradeep Vaani both from Uttar Pradesh’s Bilaspur.
