Virginia Beach VA May 16 2019 A multi-vehicle accident in Virginia involving an armored truck that swerved to avoid stopped traffic left traffic snarled ad several people injured.

State Police responded to the scene of the multi-vehicle crash on I-264 West near Newtown Road Tuesday evening.

Traffic was backed up for miles as police investigated the accident.

Police were notified of the crash at 4:17 p.m.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya confirmed there were five vehicles involved in the accident, including a Dunbar armored truck.

She said there were injuries reported, but none are considered life-threatening.
