Durham NC security officer involved in shoot-out with casino robbery suspects
DURHAM, N.C. May 31 2019 Police in Durham are seeking information on the whereabouts of four men who they say robbed patrons at the Sweepstakes Casino in the city.
The casino, located on 2107 Allendown Drive, was robbed on May 12.
Police say four men wearing masks or bandanas over their faces and armed with guns approached the business shortly after 3 a.m. and robbed several people of cash, a wallet, and a gun.
One suspect exchanged gunfire with a security guard inside the business, but no one was injured, according to a release from Durham police.
Witnesses told officers they heard one of the suspects call another suspect “Duke.”
