Eureka man assaults Six Flags security guard
Eureka MO October 26 2019 Police are seeking an assault charge against a 49-year-old Eureka man after he allegedly knocked down a Six Flags security guard at about 7 p.m. Sept. 28, Capt. David Wilson said.
The man, who was exiting the park with two children, was stopped by a female security guard at about 7 p.m., police reported, based on a review of surveillance video.
In the video, the man appeared to be yelling at the security guard as one of the children stood with him inside the park, and the other child was just outside the gate. The man then appeared to try to force his way past the guard, and the two fell, police reported.
The security guard told police she stopped the man and two children because they were not exiting using the turnstiles.
The 32-year-old St. Charles woman said the man cursed at her and then forced his way past her using his body, according to the report.
She said they fell, and she injured her right hip and had cuts on her knees and elbows. The woman was sent home because of the injuries, the report said.
The man told police he tried to get past the guard because the two children he was with had already exited the park, and he didn’t want to lose sight of them by exiting through the turnstiles, according to the report.
