F.E. Moran Security Solutions donates money to local police K-9 unit
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. May 25 2017— The sheriff’s office got an unexpected gift.
F.E. Moran Security Solutions is donating $500 to the K-9 unit for National Police Week. The employer collected donations from people in the office, then the company matched the donations.
Chief Deputy Allen Jones says they had no idea the company was rounding up money for them, but they’re grateful for the generosity.
The donation will go towards for K-9’s to get specialized training. They’ve been using money in the department to train police dogs for 15-years.
The collection will allow the department to use the original funds for other equipment and training aids.
