Fashion Valley Mall Thief Steals Jewelry in Early Morning Heist

Police say that a burglar was able to make his way into the Fashion Valley Mall in the overnight hours, breaking into a jewelry store and getting away with thousands of dollars of jewelry even though the mall was being patrolled by security at the time.
A burglar alarm sounded at approximately 4:00 a.m., and a second alarm sounded at 4:15 a.m.
Mall Security responded and found that a glass window had been broken on a second-floor entrance to the store.
Police arrived and searched the store and found several jewelry cases had been smashed, and watches and jewelry had been stolen.
The surveillance video showed that one male suspect had been in the store for approximately 7 minutes.
After getting inside on the second floor, he went to the 1st floor and back up to the second floor.
The thief left a bag and his crowbar at the scene.
The burglary and theft remain under investigation.
