Federal Courthouse Security Officer Commits Suicide

Police have confirmed that a security guard died by suicide Wednesday while working at the U.S. Federal Building and Courthouse on 12th Avenue.
Police responded to a call of shots fired and found the security officer deceased.
Authorities have identified Sean Martines, 51, as a federal security contractor and that he was the former chief of the Fairbanks International Airport Police Department.
There were no other reports of injuries.
