Fighting in Food Court Injures Security Officer at Woodfield Mall
Schaumburg, Illinois March 27, 2023
A brawl at a local mall left one security officer injured and several people in police custody.
Police said that they received a call of a fight at the mall and officers and firefighter/paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 5:25 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Police said that they had received calls of several fights in progress at or near the food court in Woodfield Mall.
Authorities later reported that at least two people were injured, and three juveniles were taken into custody.
Police officers from neighboring communities were also dispatched to Woodfield Mall to assist Schaumburg police officers.
One male patient was transported to a nearby hospital. A Woodfield security officer was also injured.
