Florida security guard shoots patron during a scuffle

One person was injured in a nightclub shooting Sunday when a security guard shot a patron during a scuffle, according to the Sheriff ’s Office.
The injured patron got a ride to the hospital from a friend shortly after the 4 a.m. shooting at the South Rock Lounge Bar & Grill, 3670 N. State Road 7, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting victim was taken to Florida Health Center, then transferred to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details were available.
The shooting remains under investigation.
