Fond du Lac man arrested after stealing from Macy’s 3 different times

Fond du Lac Police have taken one man into custody following a string of thefts from Kohl’s Department Store at the Forest Mall in Fond du Lac.
Store employees called Police just after 4:30 PM Sunday afternoon, to report a suspect who was putting numerous items into a Kohl’s bag and appeared to be getting ready to take off.
Police were able to locate the 54 year old male, identified as John Villareal, and found over $1,200 in stolen merchandise in his possession.
Video from the store also showed Villareal stole approximately $541 back in July and another $633 worth of merchandise on August 2nd.
Upon searching Villareal’s vehicle, police found stolen plates not registered to the vehicle, along with a trunk filled with stolen property.
Villareal is being held on two felony counts of Retail theft. Villareal did admit that most of the items in the trunk were stolen. Police continue to investigate the thefts.
