Former Employee Accused Of $14K Theft From Norwalk Bloomingdale’s
NORWALK, CT June 17 2020— A former employee of Bloomingdale’s in The SoNo Collection was arrested this week on a charge of second-degree larceny after police said she defrauded the store out of about $14,000.
Stamford resident Summer Parkman, 36, of Stillwater Road, surrendered to Norwalk police on June 5.
Police said Parkman is accused of falsifying an undisclosed number of returns at the store between Nov. 30 and Dec. 18 of last year, only a few weeks after the store had opened.
Additional details were not disclosed, but police obtained a warrant for her arrest which led to her turning herself in on the 5th.
She was released after posting bond on bail of $14,000, and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 26.
