Former Huntsville Alabama school security guard pleads guilty to sex crimes
Huntsville AL June 17 2018 A former school security guard pleaded guilty this week and was sentenced to probation for sexting with a Huntsville student.
Lewis Lee, a 30-year-old from Huntsville, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of school employee having sexual contact with a student.
Lee received a 180-day jail sentence that was suspended for two years of probation, said Madison County Assistant District Attorney Emily Carroll. In exchange for Lee’s guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed a second misdemeanor charge.
Lee was arrested on the misdemeanor charges in December 2016. He was fired after being accused of sending nude photos to a Huntsville City Schools student, officials said. Lee was a contracted security guard at the city’s New Century Technology school.
As part of the guilty plea, Lee will be required to register as a sex offender.
