Four arrested after robbing Nashville ATM security guard
NASHVILLE, Tenn. June 7 2022 Four people have been taken into custody following a robbery of a security guard at a bank Monday morning.
Metro police investigators said it happened around 10:40a.m. at Bank of America on Thompson Lane.
The suspects, four individuals from Texas, held up a guard who was servicing the ATM, according to police.
After a joint effort from the MNPD, FBI, THP and Dickson police, all four were captured outside a Dickson motel.
Investigators said they were taken into custody after checking out.
Police found the undisclosed amount of stolen cash.
The suspects, Darius Dugas, 27, Sashondre Dugas, 32, Christopher Alton, 27, and Ladesion Riley, 30, are all from Houston, Texas. They were arrested at a Dickson motel.
Detectives determined that one of the getaway vehicles, a Hyundai Elantra, had been rented from Hertz. Using information from Hertz, detectives, with assistance from Metro Police and Tennessee Highway Patrol aviation units, saw the Hyundai and a maroon Jeep that accompanied it parked at the Motel 6 in Dickson.
Detectives watched as what appeared to be cash was loaded into the Jeep. When the Dugas couple and Riley pulled away from the motel in the Jeep, and as Alton drove away in the Hyundai, Dickson Police moved in with assistance from Metro Police and the FBI. The vehicles pulled over and the four were taken into custody without incident. Authorities recovered the stolen money.
Metro Police said the four are being charged federally. The FBI is trying to determine whether they committed similar robberies elsewhere.
