Georgia police bodycam shows tense standoff with armed gunman

Police in Georgia have released bodycam video of how an armed gunman was taken into custody following a report of a shooting.
Atlanta police were dispatched to shots being fired in the area.
In the above video released by the Atlanta Police Department, officers are seen arriving Sunday evening to Custard Avenue SE. on the way to that call.
The suspect is spotted walking in the middle of the road.
Officers exit their vehicles and immediately give commands for him to drop his weapon and to get on the ground but he refuses.
“What’s that in your hand?” one officer asks, drawing his weapon. “Back up!”
A tense standoff occurs as the suspect refuses to answer or comply for several minutes while walking towards the officers.
Eventually officers deploy Tasers, but the attempt is unsuccessful.
Then, with the suspect’s back turned and one officer is able to tackle him to the ground.
Other officers quickly swarm the suspect and retrieve the gun from his waistband.
The victim, who was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition.
The gunman was later identified as Markevious Samuel, 22. He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
