Golden West Casino security officer shot to death
BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. Nov 5 2017
A confrontation between an armed felon suspected to be a gang member turned deadly and left an armed security officer dead.
The sheriff’s department is reporting that an altercation between several security officers and a man occurred and that both the man and armed security officers exchanged gunfire.
The victim of the shooting has been identified as security Sergeant Richard Iloilo, according to a Facebook post by Golden West Casino.
The name of shooter has been identified as Keon Andrea Brackenridge.
Brackenridge fired multiple rounds and then fled the scene but was caught inside a market on South Union Avenue.
He was then transported to Kern Medical for treatment of his injuries and arrested on multiple charges including homicide, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon and participation in a criminal street gang.
The entrances and exits were still blocked off by police tape to the casino.
