Greece Athena security guard performs Heimlich on choking student
GREECE, N.Y. March 3 2021 The Director of Security at Greece Central Schools praised security guard Robin Cooper Monday for successfully performing the Heimlich maneuver on a choking student.
Security footage dated Feb. 26, 2021, shows the Athena High School student running over to Cooper, Cooper recognized he was choking and then performed the Heimlich.
Steve Chatterton, the director of security, says the student’s father consented to him posting the video, but that the student’s name will not be shared.
