GuardaWorld armored truck security guard accidentally shoots himself
PRESTONBURG, Ky. Jan 26 2020 An armored car service employee is expected to be okay after police say he accidentally shot himself Thursday.
Kentucky State Police say 35-year-old David Payton, a messenger for GuardaWorld armored car service, was making a drop-off at a Big Lots store in Prestonburg when the incident occurred.
During the drop-off, troopers say Payton’s gun accidentally went off, causing him to be shot in the abdomen.
Troopers say Payton was airlifted to a West Virginia Hospital where he is in stable condition.
