Halifax security guard attacked and racially abused by suspected thief

Police in Calderdale are appealing for information following a racially aggravated public order offence.
The incident happened outside the Wilko’s store in Halifax town centre at around 16.50pm on Friday March 12.
A security guard attempted to detain a man, who was suspected of stealing from the store.
The suspect assaulted the security guard and shouted racial abuse before leaving the area on foot.
A 38-year old man has been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.
