Harlingen man pulls firearm on Kohl’s security agents during theft
HARLINGEN TX May 13 2017 — A Harlingen man has been arrested after police say he pulled a gun on loss prevention agents at Kohl’s.
Police say they were called to the store late Thursday afternoon about a robbery.
They say the security agent told them Jonathan Tadeo Garza Bracamonte, 23, of Harlingen, stole a $60 gold necklace and then left the store without paying.
The security agents said when they confronted the man, Garza Bracamonte allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot them.
The loss prevention officers stepped back and the man ran from the store and got into a green compact vehicle with a woman and a 3-year-old child inside.
Bracamonte was arrested about three hours later on Altas Palmas Road, south of Business 83 without incident.
He was arraigned on two first degree felonies for aggravated robbery, with bond totaling $150,000.
