Hattiesburg MS police, nightclub security nab man shooting guns
Hattiesburg MS May 9 2018 A 26–year-old Hattiesburg man was arrested early Sunday and charged with discharging a firearm in city limits.
Hattiesburg police were patrolling near Club Empire at 811 Timothy Lane, around 2 a.m. when the club was closing, when multiple shots were fired.
After talking to witnesses at the scene, officers determined multiple shots were fired into the air outside the club and across from the parking lot.
HPD officers and club security located the suspected shooter, Cameron Wesley Owens, and took him into custody. Two handguns were seized from the suspect’s vehicle.
Owens was booked into Forrest County Jail for the misdemeanor crime.
