Henderson NV security officer dies in on-duty traffic accident
HENDERSON NV Jan 31 2021 One man is dead following an accident in Henderson Friday. It happened in the area of Via Garda and Roma Hill Drives off Horizon Ridge Parkway just before 12:30 p.m.
After an investigation by police, it was found that an RC Willey box truck was backing out of a driveway in a subdivision with the help of a security guard for the Roma Hills community.
While helping the truck driver, the security guard, for reasons unknown, fell into the path of the box truck. The truck then backed over the man, causing severe injuries.
The 60-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the incident appears to be accidental. They also say impairment was not a factor.
This incident is still under investigation.
