Hilton Head Security officers wrangle disruptive gator ‘Big George’
Hilton Head SC April 27 2020 Many who are quarantining at home through this pandemic express feeling an overwhelming sense of boredom. But that certainly was not the case for a family on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
The Lossada family found “Big George,” an alligator, wandering from his lagoon to their patio.
The family looked on as George knocked over furniture, toppled the fire pit and even banged on their door with his tail.
After calling security, it took four guards to safely relocate the gator back to his home in a nearby lagoon.
Fernando Lossada says this was a great opportunity to teach his kids and tourists about the importance of not feeding alligators and respecting wildlife.
