Houma man accused of attacking hospital staff-threatened to disarm security officer

A Houma man has been arrested after he was accused of attacking hospital staff Thursday.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Chabert Medical Center when a disturbance was reported.
The sheriff’s office says Ladarius Lamar Jones, 21, was visiting a patient when he became “belligerent” with staff.
Jones refused to leave the hospital and attacked two hospital staff as well as threatened to disarm a security guard, according to the sheriff.
Jones is also accused of threatening to use the gun against people inside the hospital.
Jones was arrested and faces charges of battery of a healthcare worker, terrorizing, and entering and remaining after being forbidden.
The sheriff said Jones remains in jail on a $10,000 bond.
