Houston Police Looking for Man in Security Guard Uniform Who Shot 12 Month Old
HOUSTON, TX June 13 2019 Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an Aggravated Assault – Deadly Weapon and Injury to a Child.
On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the one year old victim was shot in the 9000 block of South Braeswood Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
During the incident, the victim was riding in a car driven by the victim’s father.
The victim’s father accidentally struck the rear of the suspect’s vehicle (a blue Buick Lucerne or Regal). At the time, the suspect was wearing a security guard uniform, along with a holstered firearm.
The suspect exited his vehicle and began to walk towards the victim’s vehicle with his hand on the firearm.
The victim’s father (who is hearing impaired) remained in the vehicle with the one year old victim and a second child.
The suspect began to yell at the deaf father, who could not understand him. The suspect approached the victim’s vehicle and continued to act aggressively. The father informed the suspect that there were children in the vehicle.
Fearing for the safety of everyone in the vehicle, the father drove away. The suspect then shot at the victim’s vehicle multiple times, striking the one year old in the chest.
The one year old victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for the gunshot wound. Thankfully, the young victim survived.
Suspect Description: Black male, 5’10’ to 6’01”, 170 to 200 lbs., short black hair, wearing a black security guard uniform and a holstered firearm. The suspect drove the pictured blue Buick Lucerne or Buick Regal.
