Illinois man arrested for assaulting hospital security officer
JOLIET, IL April 15 2020— A 44-year-old Joliet man is in the Will County Jail after Joliet Police Department officers say he attacked a security guard at the AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center early Tuesday morning following a disturbance at the hospital.
Officers arrested Chad Crow shortly before 2:30 a.m. on charges of aggravated battery and criminal trespass to property.
According to police reports, hospital staff and security guards to told Crow to leave the property numerous times, but he refused to do so.
When St. Joe’s security force tried to escort Crow off the property in the 300 block of Madison Street, Crow attacked one of the security guards, police reports show.
Joliet police say they took Crow into custody without any problems.
Crow was booked into county custody around 4 a.m. He will appear before a Will County judge for a bail hearing Tuesday afternoon.
According to the jail logs, Crow resides in the 200 block of Caterpillar Drive.
