Juvenile shot while two groups of teens fought at Riverchase Galleria mall
HOOVER, Ala. Aug 6 2019 Hoover police are investigating, after a juvenile was shot at the Riverchase Galleria.
At four o’clock Saturday afternoon, police say a fight involving two groups of teenage males, broke out in the north parking deck.
One person fired a weapon and the group fled before law enforcement arrived.
Shortly after, around 4:20, police located a 15-year-old inside Von Maur suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip.
He was treated by Hoover Fire-medics and later transported to Children’s Hospital by a private vehicle.
According to authorities, his injuries are non-life threatening.
There are no suspects in custody at this time. The suspected shooter is being described as a teenage Hispanic or black male that was seen leaving the scene in a red SUV.

A fatal shooting occurred in the same parking deck earlier this year in June. 20-year-old Zachariah Taylor Music was found dead in his car. An arrest was made in that crime.
