Knoxville shooting victim dies after being taken to former Tennova hospital site
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. January 3 2019Â Knoxville police responded to a security call early Tuesday at the former site of a hospital to find a shooting victim and two others.
At 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, KPD officers responded to a call from security personnel at the former site of a Tennova Hospital at 900 E Oak Hill Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers observed three people at the front door of the hospital. One person had been shot and the other two were taken to the Safety Building to be interviewed.
The victim that was shot did succumb to his injuries, according to a report from KPD.
The witnesses stated that the shooting took place in the 2600 block of North Broadway.
